“Certum est quia impossible est”. Roughly translated “It’s certain because it’s impossible”. Which is to say you can’t be separate from God and of that you can be certain. You can think you are, pretend you are, act like you are but in truth it’s impossible.
“The Bible instructs you to “KNOW thyself,” or BE CERTAIN. Certainty is always of God. When you love someone, you have PERCEIVED him as he is, and this makes it possible for you to KNOW him. But it is not until you RECOGNIZE him that you KNOW him. Only then are you ABLE to stop asking questions about him.
While you ask questions about God, you are clearly implying that you do NOT know Him.”
Ironically, it all happens in the UN-knowing. That instant where you stand completely bereft of the solution. Each moment IS brand new and when you think you know you can’t be shown. So the certainty, in time, comes from seeing just how completely dependent you are on the Grace of God. Which is with you ALWAYS even if you think it’s not.
“To know is to be certain. Uncertainty merely means that you DON’T know. Knowledge is power BECAUSE it is certain, and certainty is strength. Perception is temporary. It is an attribute of the space-time belief, and is therefore subject to fear or love. Misperception produces fear, and true perception produces love. NEITHER produces certainty because all perception varies. That is why it is NOT knowledge. True perception is the BASIS for knowledge, but KNOWING is the affirmation of truth.”
