Can you imagine what it means to have no cares, no worries, no anxieties, but merely to be perfectly calm and quiet all the time?

“Yet that is what time is for; to learn just that and nothing more. God’s Teacher cannot be satisfied with His teaching, until it constitutes ALL your learning. He has not fulfilled His teaching function until you have become such consistent learners THAT YOU LEARN ONLY OF HIM. When this has happened, you will no longer need a teacher, or time in which to learn.”

~ Practicing the Holy Instant ~

I have been reading about the holy instant. Any single instant of time in which you decide to follow God’s plan for Salvation and in which you leave your brothers past behind and see him without your judgements layed upon him, which is what the past is.

The Master teacher gave a lovely example of this when he talked about “pi” (pi – the ratio of the circumference to the diameter of a circle). Conceptual mind will try and tell you that Pi = 3.14, which is exactly what the separation IS. In your attempts to communicate you constantly just miss, so you end up repeating that single instant, ad infintum.

In truth, if you take one guy, who has a thought about himself and the thought you have about yourself, stand there for an instant, include the space or God, which makes three, you have a holy instant. Pi = 3! Because God only knows you one way, the way He Created you. You are included in with God.

Anyway, Jesus was showing me that the holy instant is going on all the time and everywhere.

I stand within the holy instant, as clear as you would have me. And the extent to which you learn to be willing to ACCEPT me, IS the measure of the time in which the holy instant will be yours.”

How much are you need of peace? How soon do you want release from the past? Remember, the holy instant can only be experienced now and here. To look for it in the future is to NOT want it.

  1. If I told you I got out of bed at 7 this morning, you would think I was just trying to be funny.
This really is an experience of being here, just for today. A complete dependence on God.
My first experience of not being able to die, lead me to A Course In Miracles, I think it was late ’98.

  2. Huh. You stumped me on the first line. Not sure I would think you were being funny, I would ask simply what it means.
I have read “some” of the Course of Miracles, but am not fully educated. It is magnificent though.
