Once again Jesus is showing us just how simple salvation really is, that through the enlightenment of your Mind you can be restored to sanity, through a conversion of your perceptual identity, to an experience of your Reality with God.
“This is salvation’s keynote: What I see reflects a process in my mind, which starts with my idea of what I want.”
You already have an idea of the thing you want and now it’s simply a matter of time…There is no point trying to negate the things of this world so you can attempt to deny them value, they have none.
“From there, the mind makes up an image of the thing the mind desires, judges valuable, and therefore seeks to find. These images are then projected outward, looked upon, esteemed as real and guarded as one’s own.”
This is the entire life cycle of the human condition, a lifes work. Trying to cure cancer. Paint the perfect picture. Win the grand final or super bowl. Make enough money so you can retire in comfort.
“From insane wishes comes an insane world.”
Here’s the action of it…you’re insane. You only have to look at the world to see that that is true. Why? You are trapped in a judgemental association based on the false idea that you can be separate…“From judgement comes a world condemned.”
You are going to have to change your mind about what you think the world and your brother really is. It’s a conversion because you have already HAD the thought. Your brother and the world and your self for that matter, already stand condemned for what it is you think you have done, which would be thinking you could make a world separate from God.
“And from forgiving thoughts a gentle world comes forth, with mercy for the holy Son of God, to offer him a kindly home where he can rest a while before he journeys on, and help his brothers walk ahead with him and find the way to Heaven and to God.”
The world, your brother, is not as you see it but there is another way of looking at the world because what you are see now is not real and does not exist.
As a separate mind coming to remember its wholeness this would be the prayer…
“Our Father, Your Ideas reflect the truth, and mine apart from Yours but make up dreams. Let me behold what only Yours reflect, for Yours and Yours alone establish truth.”ACIM Lesson 325
