Yes I agree, the message of the Course is simple – the more ‘unblocked’ I become in studying the material the easier it is to see that.
I am beginning to realise there is always another way – the real way – that can be found in the Now: time only exists when I say ‘no’ to God and keep the dream alive because I still love it so much. “There is no world” – deal, therefore “there is no me” – no deal YET!! Guilt and fear keep ME and serve ME and the toughts surrounding this stop me from waking – feel it, don’t know if I KNOW it but now it is there.
As long as my thoughts continue to drive me crazy and I continue to identify with them, I believe I am stuck here in this illusion and remain asleep ‘in life’s waiting room’ as I heard it described earlier today.
I love the way you write about the Course. I have been listening to some of the Foundation for Inner Peace material over the past couple of years and the message there is really as direct and simple as you convey it – ‘Get real and get on with it!!’Simple – but not easy!
It is one thing to read quotes from the text and quite another to be taken by the scruff of the neck on reading them – you have done that today for me with the above passage.
It’s the kind of powerful message I need to hear and long may its Power continue.
